Apple’s iOS 16 is available for download as of today

Apple’s iOS 16 will be available for download on Monday, Sept. 12. Since July, the new operating system has been in public beta for open testing alongside iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, macOS Ventura and tvOS 16.

New features:

►iOS 16 adds the ability to edit and undo messages in the Messages app, but with some limitations.

► It adds a new customizable interface for the lock screen, Live Activities to manage notifications, a later-pay feature in Wallet, email scheduling, and Face ID in landscape mode.

► As for accessibility, Live Captions can transcribe FaceTime calls as they happen. A new door detection tool in the Magnifier app improves navigation for the visually impaired.

► The OS will be available for the iPhone 8, second-generation iPhone SE, and later models such as the X, 11, 12, 13, and 14 (including Pro, Plus, and Max).
