Microsoft is looking into adding AI-powered features to various Windows apps, including Photos, Camera and Paint, Windows Central reports. Microsoft has previously announced that Windows Copilot, its AI-powered operating system assistant, will be available to all users later this year.
According to Windows Central, Microsoft is experimenting with AI in these built-in Windows apps:
◦ Microsoft Paint, the image editor, could get a „Magic Paint“ button that generates images based on text prompts.
◦ An AI feature in the Photos app could recognize people and objects in photos and cut and paste them elsewhere.
◦ In addition, Microsoft could integrate optical character recognition (OCR) with artificial intelligence into the camera app and the snipping tool. This would identify text from photos/screenshots and allow users to copy and paste it.
