„Bard Extensions” will soon significantly improve the tool

Google’s new „Bard Extensions,“ similar to ChatGPT’s plugins, allow the chatbot to retrieve information from Google’s consumer apps and answer questions. For example, users could ask Bard to search for files in Google Drive or Docs, summarize their Gmail inbox, find directions on maps, or discover new videos on YouTube. Bard can access different apps simultaneously during a single conversation.

What Else: Today, Google also announced additional improvements to Bard, including an update to the underlying language model and new fact-checking features. The “Google It” button now allows users to assess the accuracy of Bard’s answers and search for “hallucinations.” Clicking the button highlights segments where Google search results match or differ from Bard’s answers.
