Apple has purchased startup AI Music, which specializes in AI-generated music that reportedly changes based on a person’s heartbeat, mood and other characteristics. Apple could use the startup’s technology to improve Apple Music and its other audio offerings.
The U.K.-based AI Music was founded to help brands create „royalty-free adaptive music.“ According to reports, the technology can create soundtracks that adapt and change over time based on the user’s interactions. For example, the music could speed up as a person’s heart rate increases during a workout.
The price for the acquisition was not disclosed. Last year, Apple acquired classic music streaming service Primephonic for its Apple Music subscribers.
