Apple shareholders were happy about a record again on Monday after a year and a half. For the first time, the shares cost more than 184 US dollars. Insiders had previously spread the rumor that Apple would present mixed reality glasses during the five-day developer conference that began this Monday in Berlin.

That wasn’t new. But it fell into obscurity in the context of the overshadowing ChatGPD hype that Apple had nothing to say about. Now they remembered. They leafed through their documents and discovered this: These data glasses should be part of major product innovations.

It was about time, because the last spectacular performance took place in 2014. By that I mean the completely superfluous watch. Now it seems that the same fate befalls the new glasses.

What’s going on at Apple? Since 2011, Tim Cook has succeeded the founder Steve Jobs, who died much too young. Is it a coincidence that not a single Apple product has hit the market since the iPhone hit? Have the Apple managers been resting on their iPhone laurels for too long and are only now discovering that people everywhere are no longer talking about iPhones, but are using this strange-sounding non-word “ChatGPD”?

Above all: what are the consequences of this development for Apple?
