European Commission seeks AI and robotic solutions for coronavirus

Brussels, 27.3.2020

The European Commission is looking for ideas for AI and robotics solutions that could help mankind to better combat COVID-19.

According to the website of the EU executive, the aim is to „create a unique repository that is easily accessible to all citizens, stakeholders and policy makers and becomes part of the common European response to the COVID-19 outbreak“.

It is open to anyone who has developed AI or robotic tools that „can be used either immediately or in the short to medium term“ to assist in prevention, diagnosis and/or treatment, as well as individuals or organisations that have already created their own programmes. The initiatives and solution repositories are available online to the public free of charge.
