Cadillac dealers prepare for challenges with EV’s

Cadillac dealers are anticipating future challenges as they prepare to sell the Lyriq SUV and other upcoming EVs.

Some GM dealers believe that they will lose lucrative service and maintenance revenues if EVs account for a larger share of sales.

Cadillac dealers are installing charging stations and converting existing service stations to handle EVs. Some garages will need special lifts to accommodate EV batteries.

GM has established a 16-member Dealer Advisory Council for Electric Vehicles to examine how EVs can impact dealer operations, including service and maintenance.
