Now Tesla’s quality consciousness is going down the drain

Elon Musk admitted on Twitter that beta version 9.2 of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving is „not great.“ The automaker’s Autopilot/AI team is working to improve the system „as quickly as possible,“ Musk promised.

Tesla wants Autopilot to be represented by a single software stack in the city and on the highway. However, this would require extensive retraining of the neural network, Musk said.

The automaker’s driver assistance system is currently under government investigation after a series of accidents occurred while the system was on.

Two U.S. senators also accused Tesla of misleading the public by marketing its automation systems as fully self-driving.
