Amazon is hiring: 125,000 warehouse – and delivery workers

Amazon is hiring 125,000 more warehouse and delivery workers in the United States. According to the company, the new employees will earn an average of $18 – more than the $15 minimum wage.

Amazon announced it will offer $3,000 bonuses at some locations and hourly wages of $22.50 for some positions. The platform giant has opened more than 250 logistics facilities this year. It plans to add another 100 in September. Amazon has more than 930 facilities in the U.S.

In early September, CEO Andy Jassy said the company would hire 55,000 new employees for corporate and technology positions worldwide. With 950,000 employees, Amzon is the second-largest private employer in the U.S. behind Walmart (1.6 million).
