Databricks has acquired German startup 8080 Labs. Background: 8080 Labs has developed a code generation tool for non-experts . According to Databricks, this will help them make their own AI and data analytics software more accessible to more customers by integrating this tool with the Lakehouse platform.

Developed by 8080 Labs, bamboolib is a UI-based data science tool that generates native code for people without programming skills. The expanded deployment capabilities would help significantly more companies leverage data without having to hire experts.
