Apple: Market capitalization now just under $3 trillion

Apple – shares have reached a high of $ 182.86 at the beginning of this week. With a market capitalization now just under $3 trillion, the Cupertino-based tech giant is the most valuable company in the world. The value has tripled in less than four years.

Although the company was hit by unexpectedly large supply shortages in 2021, all product categories grew on an annualized basis in the fourth quarter. iPhone sales, the company’s largest source of revenue, rose 47% year over year. According to fourth-quarter results released in October, Apple’s total revenue rose 29% to $83.36 billion.

Apple announced several new iPhones for 2022. Named were a 5G version of the iPhone SE, a new iPhone 14s, and a new Mac Pro line. Also in the pipeline are a new iPad Pro, AirPods, Apple Watches, and a VR/AR headset.
