Is Apple picking up speed on e-car project now?

Apple has hired key staff for its electric-car project, according to trade media. The acquisition of struggling electric car startup Canoo could accelerate the development process.
By taking over Canoo’s engineers and developers, the tech – giant could accelerate its plans for an autonomous vehicle, trade media note.
Industry insiders recall that Apple and Canoo had held talks on the subject of acquiring Canoo as early as 2020. That initiative, they say, came to naught. Nevertheless, Ulrich Kranz, a senior executive at the Apple Car project, is a co-founder and former CEO of Canoo. Apple Car Project employees let it be known that the designs resemble Canoo’s electric lifestyle vehicle.
