Social media and photo-sharing platform Instagram will roll out its AI – age verification program in both India and Brazil. The move was necessary as many safety advocates say the company is not doing enough to stop teens from using the platform.
Under the new version, any user can provide their age either through ID verification or by uploading a video of themselves. This will then be verified by an AI system. Instagram points out that the data will be deleted after verification.
