Apple will no longer market new Mac computers in 2022

San Francisco, Nov. 2, 2022

Contrary to earlier reports, Apple is not expected to launch any more Mac computers before the end of this year. Instead, Apple plans to launch products in the first quarter of 2023. These include 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros and a new Mac mini, all of which will incorporate Apple’s latest M2 chip, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.

Apple originally planned to unveil the Macs this fall. That has now been postponed.

Since Apple rarely announces new products in January and February, Gurman expects the Macs to launch in the „first half of March. Now the launch could coincide with Apple’s release of macOS Ventura 13.3 and iOS 16.3.

Another supply chain report also seems to confirm Apple’s delay of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro updates until 2023.

In last week’s conference call, CEO Tim Cook said Apple’s product lineup was firmed up ahead of the holiday season.
