Google announced Bard, a conversational AI service to compete with ChatGPT. will compete.
Bard will be issued to a group of testers starting today before the tool is rolled out to a wider audience in the “coming weeks,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in a blog post.
Like ChatGPT, Bard can join conversations and answer questions. Bard is based on Google’s LaMD (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), one of the company’s major language models.
Pichai said Bard could pull internet data. In one demo, Bard answered a question by providing three bulleted answers about the James Webb Space Telescope.
According to Pichai, Google uses a LaMDA version that requires less computing power. This makes it possible to include more users so that the company can get feedback on the system.
Pichai described Bard as “an outlet for creativity and a launch pad for curiosity that helps you explain new discoveries from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to a 9-year-old or learn more about the best forwards in football now and then.” Get practice to improve your skills.”
