IBM revolutionizes sports betting with AI technology

IBM is making its Watson AI technology available to predict which players will win in Wimbledon tennis matches.

On the Match Insights with Watson website, viewers can select a singles match and see an AI-generated preview and percentage probability of victory for each player.

The AI program evaluates millions of data points to determine the percentage. These forecasting capabilities should revolutionize the sprint betting business, commented one expert.

Another Insights feature is „Have Your Say,“ an interactive tool that allows fans to make their own gambling predictions and compare them to IBM’s AI-powered win probability prediction.

IBM’s „Power Index“ ranking, which is updated daily, is based on an analysis of an athlete’s performance, momentum and form.

Watson will also be used to automatically create player data sheets.

Wimbledon runs until July 10.
