Zoom wants to integrate numerous AI functions

Zioom is collaborating with OpenAI to bring more AI capabilities to its video conferencing app. The company is adding AI-powered meeting summaries and more to its intelligent companion, Zoom IQ, to its platform.

The feature automatically provides meeting summaries, including sessions that a user missed. The AI feature also posts the meeting summaries in the Zoom Team Chat.

The platform also adds AI chat composing and email composing that relies on generative AI to write messages and generate replies to colleagues.

The AI capabilities will be available to „select customers“ on an invite-only basis starting in April. It also plans to bring some of the meeting summary functionality to Earlier this month, Salesforce announced it was bringing ChatGPT to Slack, its workplace messaging platform.

The AI app can summarize threads of conversation and respond to requests. It allows Slack users to compose replies to colleagues „in seconds“.
