Surprisingly quickly, the EU agreed on a strict AI law

EU legislators have agreed on an early draft of their AI law. According to this, companies are obliged to disclose copyrighted material for generative AI companies if it is used to train their systems.

Once enacted, the AI Act would be the world’s first comprehensive law that

wide range of AI applications. Under the draft, AI tools are classified according to their level of risk, ranging from minimal to limited, high, and „unacceptable.“ High-risk AI, such as autonomous vehicles and medical AI devices, are not outright banned, but will come under closer scrutiny.
