Has Microsoft now solved a Windows 11 bug problem?

It’s about the super-fast NVMe SSD. After a Windows 11 update in March 2023, users of this technology had trouble: the SSD*s only ran half as fast as before.

The PC world pointed out the vulnerability to Microsoft in a report. „The culprit“ was also named: „The Momentum 2 update“ was the trigger. The KB5023706 update is still to blame. Because nothing was happening at Microsoft, the magazine reported the case again in July. Microsoft didn’t respond again. The bug didn’t even exist. This conclusion comes to mind because the other cumulative Windows 11 updates did not solve this problem.

Only with the patch day in August could users breathe a sigh of relief. Everything was good? Not yet, because according to the PC world: „It is currently unclear whether the update has solved the speed limit on all NVMe SSDs or whether users are still affected.“
