Intel wants to use „Bleep“ to filter out hate speech on Intel PCs

Intel says it will launch its AI-enabled application for filtering out hate speech in voice chats later this year. „Bleep“ taps AI processing on Intel PCs to identify and redact toxic speech in real time.

It’s „an end-user application that uses AI to recognize and redact audio based on your user preferences,“ according to Intel marketing engineer Craig Raymond.

Intel collaborated on the software with Spirit AI, an AI moderation specialist that specializes in text-based swear words in games. Sliders allow users to decide how much and what types of hate speech they want to hide. This includes „some, most, or all“ toxic language and categories such as LGBTQ+ hate, misogyny, name-calling, racism, and the „N-word.“
