Apple seems to test an immersive headset with a Vive-like controller

Joe Rossignol writes that a photo that MacRumors received from iOS 14 appears to show a generic-looking controller for an AR/VR headset, suggesting that this is for testing purposes only, but is an indication of the company’s ongoing commitment to the development of an augmented reality wearer (although development has probably slowed down due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, which has forced many Apple engineers to work from home for the foreseeable future).
„A particularly interesting augmented reality experience that Apple is testing is a ‚crosswalk bowling game‘,“ adds Rossignol. The prototype game allegedly allows Apple engineers to roll a virtual bowling ball across the crosswalk (which is only triggered at a specific intersection near an Apple office that is believed to be one of the sites where the headset is being developed) to knock over virtual bowling cones across the street while waiting for the pedestrian lights to change from the bus stop to the street.
