NATO and G-7 countries pledged to protect their countries after the Biden administration said Russia’s calculus on digital attacks has changed.
The number of global cyberattacks has increased recently, particularly during the invasion of Ukraine.
NATO released a statement indicating that it is building its cyber capabilities and supporting each other in the event of cyberattacks.
In March, NATO included Ukraine as a contributing participant in its Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence.
Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States said they would impose sanctions on anyone conducting cyberattacks against them.
The G7 countries have increased their information sharing and cyber defense coordination.
