San Francisco, 11-10. ß-2023

Nvidia has canceled its AI summit in Tel Aviv, Israel, citing security concerns amid the escalating Israel-Hamas war. At the conference scheduled for October 15th to 16th, Nvidia wanted to present its advances in generative AI. A keynote speech by CEO Jensen Huang was also planned.

More:

• A statement on the company’s website emphasized that the cancellation was „the best measure to ensure everyone’s safety.“

• The summit was expected to attract more than 2,500 participants and feature more than 60 live sessions on topics such as supercomputing, autonomous vehicles, healthcare and cybersecurity.

• Nvidia has not yet provided any information regarding a postponement or virtual/online replacement.

• Nvidia previously said it chose Israel for the event because of its thriving technology sector. There are over 6,000 startups in the country and also a strong track record of VC investments per capita.
